Sims Memorial Scholarship
One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded for the current academic
year to a selected post-secondary student, who is attending or planning
to attend a Florida public or private college and is planning to
major in computer science/information technology related field.
Deadline is March
15th for the academic year beginning with Fall Term.
Who
may apply?
Any post-secondary student with at least a 2.5 GPA (on a 4 point
system) and who is attending a Florida school, may apply. The applicant
must be enrolled as a full time student as defined by his or her
academic institution during the course of the award.
How
to apply?
An application form can be obtained by clicking
here or from the address given below. When you receive the application
form, complete it carefully and submit it, together with an official
transcript of all your course work, and the requested essay to the
address on the bottom of this page. The postmark deadline is March
15th for the academic year beginning with Fall Term. A panel
of FAEDS members will review the information and select the scholarship
recipient. The results will be announced by May 1st.
The scholarship will be coordinated through the recipient’s selected
college financial aid office.
