Sims Memorial Scholarship
One or more $3,000 scholarships will be awarded for the current academic
year to a selected post-secondary student, who is a U.S. citizen and resident of Florida, attending or planning
to attend an accredited Florida public or private college and is planning to
major in computer science/information technology related field.
Deadline is February
15th for the academic year beginning with Fall
Term.
Who
may apply?
Any post-secondary student with at least a 2.5 GPA (on a 4 point
system) and who is a U.S. citizen and resident of Florida attending an accredited Florida college or university, may apply. The applicant
must be enrolled as a full time student as defined by his or her
academic institution during the course of the award.
How
to apply?
An application form can be obtained by clicking
here When you receive the application
form, complete it carefully and submit it, together with an official
transcript of all your course work, and the requested essay to the
address on the bottom of the application. The postmark deadline is February
15th for the academic year beginning with Fall Term.
A panel of FAEDS members will review the information and select
the scholarship recipient. The results will be announced by May
1st. The scholarship will be coordinated through
the recipient’s selected college financial aid office.
